A pack of leading private equity firms are circling TAG, a travel agent which organizes the itineraries of pop stars such as Lady Gaga and Rihanna.

Sky News understands that ECI Partners and Livingbridge are among the suitors pursuing the company.

The auction, which is being run by bankers at Rothschild, is now in its second round.

Equistone, another prominent private equity firm, has also reportedly tabled an offer.

Formerly known as The Appointment Group, TAG has become a favorite choice for celebrities making travel arrangements for themselves and their entourages.

ECI leads race to snap up £150m stars’ travel agent | BusinessNews

A travel agent that organizes the tour itineraries of musicians including Lady Gaga and Rihanna is closing in on a sale to new private equity backers.

Sky News understands that ECI Partners is the frontrunner to buy TAG, which marked its 35th anniversary last year.

It was unclear on Wednesday whether ECI, which has owned companies such as Auction Technology Group, was formally in exclusive talks to buy TAG, but travel industry sources described it as the most likely buyer.

Among the other suitors earlier in the process were Livingbridge and Equistone, two other private equity firms.
