Uber to Launch Airport Shuttle Service in US

Uber this summer will launch in the United States its Uber Shuttle service, which offers transportation to events and airports, the company announced in New York City.

The service currently is available in Egypt and India, according to Uber.

Uber didn’t disclose which airports would have shuttles available for use, but that it is “working with airport partners and local officials across the US and beyond to bring convenient and affordable airport shuttle service to riders.”

When the service becomes available, customers will see a ‘Shuttle’ option in the Uber app. Customers can book up to five seats in total

These are the top airlines in 2024 according to JD Power

(WJET) — JD Power has released their annual Airline Satisfaction Study results. The study, which began collecting data in April 2023, broke down overall satisfaction in three classes: first, premium economy and economy.

The study was redesigned for this year and collected results from 9,582 passengers. It measures a passenger’s satisfaction based on performance in seven categories on a six-point scale. The categories are airline staff, digital tools, ease of travel, on-board experience, pre/post-flight experience and value for the price paid.

Avianca refreshes business class offering on flights to Europe

Colombian flag carrier Avianca has introduced a new business class product on its twin-aisle aircraft flying to and from Europe.

Called Avianca Insignia, the cabin features fully flatbed seats and passengers will receive welcome drinks, a full dining service and Loto del Sur amenity kits.

Saudi Arabia travel demand at record high ahead of summer campaign, tourism chief says

International traveler interest in Saudi Arabia is at a record high, a senior official has said.

Demand from around the world has been growing every year, said Fahd Hamidaddin, chief executive of the Saudi Tourism Authority.

“We’ve never hit three million visitors a month in the history of Saudi Arabia, but in January we did,” Mr Hamidaddin told The National on the sidelines of the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai on Tuesday.

“And again in February, and then again in March – all exceeded three million inbound visits, it has been a record quarter.”
