Melbourne travel agency collapse leaves dozens of families grounded

Dozens of families have been left grounded after a Melbourne travel agency collapsed and travelers turned up for flights to find the business had not booked their tickets.

Nepalese agency Syon Travels, which was run out of a home in the Melbourne suburb of Wollert, told customers it would be entering liquidation.

Sanjeev Khadka told A Current Affair that when he turned up at Sydney airport with his in-laws, they were told there was no booking for them on a flight to Nepal, despite having forked out more than $11,000 for six tickets.
